Sparky or apprentice in the Sunraysia? Come and have a chat.
NextES is Mildura-headquartered, REC 31859, with seven on the tools and a school-based apprentice. We run variety from domestic call-outs to hospital fitouts to industrial three-phase. Always open to a chat with capable sparkies and apprentices — even when we're not actively recruiting.
Four reasons it's worth the chat
Variety you won't get at a bigger shop
40% tendered electrical and comms, 40% commercial maintenance, 20% domestic and other. Domestic call-outs in the morning, hospital fitouts in the afternoon, packing-shed shutdowns on weekends. You won't do the same job every day.
Proper systems, not chaos
Every job logged. Documentation, certificates, as-builts handed over to standard. Apprentices learn the right way the first time. Tradies get the back-end discipline that wins tendered work.
Mildura-local. Sleep in your own bed.
Mildura HQ, marked vans, branded gear. No fly-in-fly-out. Our service area covers Mildura, the Sunraysia and southern NSW — day trips, not extended stints away.
Small team, real say
Seven on the tools, plus a school-based apprentice, Operations Manager and Business Manager. Small enough that you're not a number. Founder still on site regularly. Genuine progression path for the right person.
Always interested in
Even when we don't have a specific vacancy listed, we keep the door open for the right people:
- Qualified electrician (A-grade, REC-licensed or working towards it). Variety of work, proper systems, Mildura-local. Domestic call-outs through commercial fitouts and industrial three-phase.
- 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice. Genuine exposure to commercial, industrial and compliance work alongside qualified tradies. SimPRO documentation discipline from day one.
- School-based apprentice (electrical). Already running one. Open to another if you're committed to the trade and reliable through your schooling.
We add specific active roles here when we're actively recruiting. If a role isn't listed but you fit one of the 'always interested' categories above, send your CV anyway.
Three steps. No theatre.
1. Quick chat
Phone or in person. Tell us what you've done and what you want next. Fifteen minutes. We'll tell you straight if we're a fit before either of us wastes more time.
2. Site day
Half a day on a real job with the crew. We pay normal rate. You see us, we see you. It's the fastest way for both sides to know.
3. Offer
Written, fair, no games. Pay, conditions, vehicle, gear, leave — all in the offer letter. You take it home, think it over, ask anything.
